Bangladeshi MP Anwarul Azim Anar Brutally Murdered, Skinned, and Dismembered in Rajarhat Flat Killers Steal Rs 4.3 Lakh; One Suspect Wore the MP’s Shirt.

Bangladeshi MP Anwarul Azim Anar faced a horrific end as he was brutally murdered, skinned, and dismembered in a Rajarhat flat. The killers made off with Rs 4.3 lakh, with one of them brazenly wearing the MP’s shirt. Authorities from the State CID and Dhaka police, aided by Interpol, are intensively pursuing key suspect Md Siam Hossain, known as Bhola, who is believed to have fled to Nepal and remains at large.

Following the grisly murder, the assailants departed the scene with the stolen money, as revealed by a joint team of State CID and Dhaka Metropolitan Police. Investigators assert that Siam Hossain absconded with the cash and is currently hiding in Nepal. During interrogation, Jihad Howladar (24), a butcher from Mumbai, admitted that the body was mutilated and dismembered throughout the night of May 13 while the group consumed alcohol. The next morning, Jihad left the scene wearing the MP’s clothes, as his own were bloodstained.

The State CID, along with a team from the Dhaka Metropolitan Police led by Detective Branch Chief Mohammad Harun-or-Rashid, have completed a reconstruction of the murder at the Rajarhat complex. According to police sources, around 3 PM, MP Anwarul Azim entered the flat with Faisal and Shimul Bhuniyan. Celesty Rahman was in an upstairs room, while Jihad Howladar and Siam awaited inside.

Jihad recounted that the MP was rendered unconscious with chloroform upon entering and then suffocated to death. Celesty had preemptively covered the CCTV camera with cloth and adhesive tape. The body was moved to the kitchen or bathroom, where it was dismembered, with bones and flesh packed into separate bags. Intelligence officers, after reviewing CCTV footage, observed that around 4 PM, the MP’s shoes were brought inside.
